From time to time I will post something the Lord gives me… be blessed!

A Beacon Diminished posted on October, 2010

Tarnished seas send pounding waves to humble your once proud shores. Fires, fueled by greed and lust, ravage serene expanses of wilderness. Amber waves of grain languish ‘neath a cloudless sky, and the plains surrender their fruit to the scorching sun. Arrogant rivers defy attempts to stay their swelling vengeance. Mountains erupt fiery contempt upon crowded villages, quaking beneath their purple majesty. Winds swirl uncontrolled and level foolish pride standing in their paths. Blood-cursed desperation smears your unprotected borders, while the brave lie beneath toppled crosses. Swords mock the God of your fathers and slash through your brotherhood. With steel and concrete, they raise their lofty voices in defiance of freedom and equality. Your wounds ooze red, but there is no healing balm, for all the physicians have disappeared. Deceived by scheming bankers and leaders who scorn truth and common sense, you now know the lack of those who once fed at your table. You are destitute and void of understanding, because you listened to serpent-spawned lies when you sent God away. Hungry moths have devoured the silk, and thieves have stripped the jewels from your extravagant robes. No longer regal, you stand naked before the world with your hands outstretched. And you cannot wake up…for this is no dream.

But take heart, America, there yet may be found a trace of hope, should you fall to your knees. Delay not…the time is short.

Hide your head in the sand, but you’ll have to take a breath sometime, and when you do, the truth will still be there. Mid

  1. Your web page is incredible. We had the privilege of visiting Israel about 3 years ago. I would love to go back. I am also a blessed owner of an autographed copy of “Barriers.” God Bless you as you continue to educate the rest of us about Israel.

    Mid,

I am just now taking the time to look at some of your other work. “A Beacon Diminished” brought tears to my eyes. You have hit this “nail” squarely and driven it deep into my patriotic equilibrium in a single, strong blow.
Our politicians need to read this. If they pull their heads out of the sand long enough. It reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw one day, “I Love My Country, But I Don’t Trust My Government.”

Too true, Anne… Sometimes I gulp at what the Lord gives, but I know to be obedient, for He always has a reason. I, too, wish our politicians would wake up and have our country’s best interests at heart. But we’ve sent a clear signal to the Lord that He is not wanted anymore…and I firmly believe even that is a fulfillment of prophecy and in God’s plan and timing. Makes me sad, but I can’t wait for His return!!
      Hugs, dear Sister!!
